Videoconferencing @ the RCM

Since 2003, the RCM has held masterclasses, practical workshops, and research seminars by videoconference using facilities at our neighbour institution Imperial College London.

In December 2006, we launched an in-house Tandberg videoconferencing system, opening up opportunities to develop musical, educational, and research partnerships on a worldwide basis.

Located in the RCM's Outer Parry Room, the system offers three modes of operation:

1. Multi-media display for workshops and lectures
2. Interactive audio-video exchanges outside of the RCM
3. Interactive audio-video exchanges using high quality microphones suitable for relaying musical performances
